SGX2000E Version 4.05 (June 2004) - What's New
- Added an auto send feature to the preset editor to send changed patches
while editing. This allows you to hear in real time the effect of your changes.
A new checkbox is also added to let you enable/disable this feature. A new patch
status message indicates if the patch is modified, saved, etc.
- Added
undo/redo functionality in preset editor.
SGX2000E Version 4.01 History (October 2003)
- Added option for saving untitled presets in the "Get All Presets" utility.
- Various other minor fixes and improvements.
SGX2000E Version 4.0 History (July 2002)
- Corrected compatibility problems with Windows 2000. The software has been tested under
Windows 9x and now Windows 2000. Compatibility with Windows XP has been independently verified.
- Removed Auto-detect on preset & MPT menus. This is now replaced with a configurable
double-click on the File Explorer and MIDI Monitor popup menus. See "Set double-click action"
which can be set to "Open in Editor" or "Send to MIDI Out". The old way was a bit
confusing. While you now have to double-click instead of single-click to open an editor,
this new approach seems a little more clear and a little less annoying.
- Corrected initialization problem in sampler length parameter
- File Explorer is now multi-select. You can delete multiple files or open multiple editors
in one operation (be careful!)
- Correct misinterpretation of Delete key in File Explorer when editing filenames. It
was triggering the file delete action instead of deleting a character.
- The current path in the File Explorer is now a drop down which will remember several of
your most recently selected paths.
Version 3.2 History (September 2000)
- Corrected bug where preset auto-save crashed if preset title (used for default filename) contained a question mark
- Revised preset MIDI Pan (MPN) tab to display values in reverse range in order to correctly match the stereo spectrum
- Restrict digital groups available in pre-express mode
- Correct new preset initialization bug (digital group not set correctly)
- Added Delete to File Explorer pop-up menu to delete the selected file
- Remove arbitrary limits in MIDI device menus
- Drag/drop a file into the message buffer
- Other minor fixes and improvements, changes to promote consistency across all SGX editors
Version 3.1 History (September 1999)
- Minor bug fixes and improvements
Version 3.0 History (March 1999)
- Support added for pre-express units (pre-1993)

- Added store function (send and store with preset number prompt)
- New print function lists all parameters & values
- Controller names for performance MIDI can now be edited
- Corrected X15 state bug for the envelope filter effect
- MPT editor enhancements:
- Print now comes in two flavors; a listing with filenames in addition to the original grid format
- Insert a cell (slide existing cell values right to end of row or end of table)
- Delete a cell (slide existing cell values left to end of row or end of table)
- Automated backup now allows a preset range selection
- Print a list of preset titles (for selected bank & range)
- Added bypass toggle request (main window)

Version 2.4 History (November 1998)

- Corrected to not reuse previous filenames when creating new preset or loading from buffer.
Version 2.3 History (October 1998)
- Added support for MIDI channel selection (see MIDI Out menu).
- Fixed a few minor bugs.
Version 2.2 History (June 1998)
- Just some minor tweaking, help file improvements, etc.
- Corrected preset editor bug where current parameter value was modified
after setting performance MIDI range (initial value setting).
- Main window was not always recognizing buffer contents if initially keyed by hand.
Version 2.1 History (May 1998)
- General cleanup, minor fixes, and polishing off the rough edges.
- Added buttons to the Performance MIDI section of the preset editor
for adding and deleting of controllers. The pop-up menu used previously
is still available. The buttons just eliminate some confusion over this.
- Corrected MPT filename "hints" to be based on preset number, not program change number.
- Recall last save path for subsequent saves in the preset editor.
- Show filenames in the editor title bars.
Version 2.0 History (April 1998)
The Preset Editor is a new major component introduced in
version 2.0. This release also includes a few minor bug fixes and various enhancements:
- The MPT Editor is now an independent window (non-modal). This allows you to open
multiple copies of the MPT editor without closing and returning to the main window.
Due to this, save and send (to MIDI out) functions have been added to the editor.
These changes bring the MPT Editor in line with the functionality designed into
the new preset editor.
- The menu on the main screen has been rearranged to better organize the SGX2000 functions
while also providing the new preset functions.
- The automated backup is now improved and provides several new options. You can now
select which banks to backup and whether to loop thru by preset number (new) or the
previously used program change method.
- Two hotkeys are now supported: F9 to send to MIDI out and F10 to get the current preset
(main window only).
Version 1.0 Released January 1998
